Private Meditation Classes & Guidance
Working with a meditation teacher provides an extra layer of accountability and nurturing to your practice. We will track progress, set goals, and work towards your individual liberation so you can show up better for others. My private classes take an interfaith approach to tap into the full scope of your spiritual needs. Meditation is not a luxury commodity from a hypocritical wellness industry. 🧖🏽♀️ It is a revolutionary tool that shapes our minds. We’ll unpack core types of meditation and how to explore them in countless ways on the journey towards waking up to the world around us. I believe in approaching this practice with a spiritual, neuroscience, and philosophical lens.

Marketing & Branding Advice
I have 7+ years experience in the world of marketing and branding. I’m happy to share what I’ve learned along the way. If you are working on a new project, business, or just your personal brand, there is nothing I love more than helping people demystify the world of marketing to get their message out there. I am offering advice for real people that need some help to get a project going. I am not seeking consultation gigs.

My group classes for companies and organizations use an intersectional lens rooted in principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

A note on lineage…
It is important to examine teacher’s lineages and history when approaching new wellness modalities. The global wellness industry is set to become a $8,057.7 billion industry by 2028. What does this mean for ordinary people? It means we must practice healthy discernment in the routes we follow for mental, physical, spiritual, and social wellbeing. Is the yoga or meditation studio you’re drawn to just good at marketing? Or are they actually invested in dismantling oppression in the world?
Most of the wellness world is rooted in the cultural appropriation of Eastern spiritual practices. My philosophy on teaching meditation doesn’t just take from ancient texts, but uplifts the cultural groups where these teachings come from today. I am also a firm believer of connecting with one’s ancestral traditions. We each come from communities who used spiritual teachings in unique ways. It’s important to take time to uncover the magic of our people’s belief systems. Sometimes it’s easier to look elsewhere than within.
My path is still forming. I study and practice with Buddhist teachers in the Gelugpa, Kagyu, and Nyingma lineages. I aim to live according to the understanding of the Buddhist precepts and Bodhisattva vows I have cultivated. My practice is informed by my Afro-Cuban heritage and the syncretic magic of Santeria whose roots lay in Ifa. My background as an artist informs all I do as I am here to dismantle oppressive systems by whatever means arise for me.
I am here as a space holder to guide others on finding their unique paths. I’m not here to recruit people to practice anything in particular, to volunteer for a studio in exchange for free classes ( a common exploitative practice in the yoga/meditation world), but to find your own path and settle into it. This is why my offerings are pay or barter what you are able to. I am here to serve others. Let’s get free!
